# Kept

> Kept is a local-first Chrome extension that records tamper-evident proof of important web sessions, such as cancellations, refunds, support chats, account deletion flows, submitted forms, and checkout disputes.

Kept's positioning is: "Keep receipts for the important things you do online."

Kept records only when the user starts a recording. Session artifacts are stored locally by default in the user's browser profile. Kept provides tamper-evident personal proof, not court-certified evidence.
